CASTON – Rachel Sand had a big performance Thursday night in leading her Lakeland Christian Academy girls basketball team to a road win at Caston.

Sand had 14 point as the Cougars collected a 33-29 win.

Sand also finished with 12 rebounds and four steals in the victory.

Hannah Delp had nine points, four assists and four steals for the winners. Melissa Goss had four points to go with three assists and five steals. Carissa Urschalitz had four points and five rebounds and Maryl Gerst two points and five rebounds for LCA.

LCA improves to 6-12 on the season. Caston falls to 5-12.

LCA hosts Traders Point Christian Saturday afternoon, Caston hosts North White Tuesday night.
