Dora PenaDora G. Peña, 81, of Plymouth, passed away at 11:55 a.m., Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, in Plymouth.

Dora was born on June 15, 1933, in Progreso, Texas, to Jose and Maria (Mendoza) Gonzalez. She worked and retired from Hehr International, in Plymouth. Dora was a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #27 in Plymouth. She had lived in Plymouth since 1966. Her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family and friends.

Dora is survived by her children: Nina Swinehart, Plymouth; Alejandro (Trina) Peña, Jr., Nappanee; Silvia (Steve) Towne, Plymouth; Serge (Sherry) Peña, Plymouth; Julie Peña, Kokomo; Cris Maxson, Texas; Mary (John) Ross, Plymouth; Jane (Bob) Dille, Argos; Jessie (Mark) Mayfield, Fort Worth, Texas; Suzy (Clinton) Sanders, Monterey; Lisa (Paul Roda) Peña, Plymouth; her grandchildren: Ashley Yates, Angie Workman, Jeremy Yates, Joe Towne, Melissa Markovich, Bryan Towne, Phillip Towne, Brandy Garringer, Amanda Yoder, Crystal Winkle, Samantha Maxson, Angie Ross, Adrian Reed, Alisha Ross, Andy Ross, Allison Olvera, Imelda Arriaga, Adriena Keen, Michael Jimenez, Jose Jimenez, Gabriela Dye, Pierce Mayfield, Anthony Mayfield, Isaiah Mayfield, Cliff Sanders, Johnny Sanders, Whitney Sanders and Jordan Sanders; 36 great-grandchildren.

Dora was preceded in passing by her lifetime mate: Alejandro Peña; her son: Frank Ybarra; grandsons: Dan Swinehart and Airon Ross; and her great-grandson: Todd Keen, Jr.

Memorials may be given to The Center for Hospice Care, 112 South Center St., Plymouth, Indiana 46563

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison St., Plymouth. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at the funeral home with Chaplain Bridget Hoch officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.
