One of the country’s largest farm shows is underway today at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne. An expected crowd of approximately 36,000 will have a chance to visit more than 950 company booths showcasing technology from solar and renewable energy to grain handling and farm drainage.

The three day event will also feature educational seminars on various agricultural subjects presented by Northeastern Indiana Soil and Water Conservation Districts and Purdue Cooperative Extension experts. Topics will include taxes and annexation, transportation regulations, cover crops, herbicide choices, grain and market livestock outlooks, the craft alcohol industry and the new farm bill, among others.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday. More information on the seminars can be found here.
