Maxine L. Duff, 89, of Osceola, passed away at on Saturday Jan. 3, 2015, at the Elkhart Hospice House.

She was born April 18, 1925, in Warsaw, to the late Russell and Bertha Shoemaker.

Maxine was formerly employed at Kenders in Elkhart, retiring in 1988. She most recently was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by three children: Jacquelyn (Greg) Wing, Osceola; David (Joan) Duff, Plymouth; Danny (Ann) Duff, Tippecanoe; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and four sisters: Carol Jankowski, Crown Point; Kay DeCent, Delta Hall both of Bourbon; and Linda (Ron) Decent, Crosby, Minn.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home, Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday Jan. 9, at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home in Osceola. Pastor Tracy Forbes with the Cedar Road Missionary Church will preside. Burial will take place at a later date in Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart Hospice House.
