Ruthann K. Johansen, 72, Hunting Ridge Trail, Granger, and Robert C. Johansen, 74, Hunting Ridge Trail, Granger, both complained of back pain and were transported to a hospital following a one-vehicle accident Saturday. The accident, reported at 1:22 p.m. was on South SR 13 at South CR 500E, Warsaw.

Police report Ruthann Johansen failed to negotiate a curve causing her vehicle to go off the road and into a ditch.

Damage was estimated up to $2,500.

INITIAL: Authorities are currently responding to an accident on SR 13 in Pierceton.

Authorities on scene advised that the car was southbound on SR 13 when it veered off the side of road. Two individuals in the car were taken to Parkview Whitley Hospital for further evaluation.
