Pierceton Fire Department was called at 7:11 a.m. this morning to 1378 S. SR 13 on a possible chimney fire. According to Pierceton Fire Department Capt. Nathan Rhoades, while the fire department was en route they were advised the home was filling with smoke and appeared to be in the attic.

Winona Lake and North Webster fire departments assisted Pierceton. The firefighters were able to keep the fire contained to the area surrounding the attic exhaust fan, which was the source of the fire.

Damage has been estimated between $2,500 and $3,000. The home is owned by Marie Trump.
