A grandson upset with a grandfather ransacked the home then blamed someone else. However, after coming clean with police, he now faces charges for his actions.

The homeowner told police, his grandson, Joshua Hensley, 18, 5251 E. CR 800N, Syracuse, told him on Nov. 17, he saw an individual in a red sedan pull into the driveway. Hensley also told his grandfather he observed a white male look out the front door of that residence.

What the homeowner found was items inside the home in Syracuse along with chairs and a tray dumped and/or flipped onto the floor, along with items on the east side of the home disturbed. But nothing appeared to be missing. He also told police he had not given anyone consent or permission to be inside his home.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputy Christopher Francis spoke with Hensley on Dec. 1. While talking to police Hensley admitted he was upset with his grandfather and went to the home, disturbing the furniture and dumping items on the floor.

He was arrested at 5:32 p.m. Sunday, on a charge of residential entry, a level 6 felony. His bond was set at $1,000 surety.
