Ham dinnerWondering how you are going to be able to make a Christmas meal for your family? It’s been a struggle to decide whether you purchase food, make a rent or mortgage payment, or even a utility payment. Finances just are not making ends meet.

United Steel Workers Local 809, Warsaw, is helping to make Christmas a little merrier for area residents.

From 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Dec. 24, meals will be available for individuals to have, free of charge, no questions asked. Members of the local union will be at their union hall, 420 Little League Drive, Warsaw, to hand out 285 meals on a first come, first serve basis. One meal per family is allowed.

The meal will consist of a 5 pound canned ham, 10 pound bag of potatoes, two cans of green beans, two boxes of stuffing, two gravy packets and two boxes of pudding.

This annual event is supported by members of the local union who have given donations towards the annual Christmas dinner hand out.
