Jeremy Ranstead, 27, Osceola, died this morning when his vehicle struck the rear tandem axle of a 2007 Volvo Semi on SR 15, approximately one mile south of US 6. The accident was at 3:29 a.m. (see related)

Police say Ranstead’s vehicle crossed the center line hitting the back of the 2007 Volvo Semi, driven by Paul Shirk, 51, Goshen.

Ranstead’s mother was notified at 9:40 a.m. The Crash Investigation Team and Coroner’s Office are investigating the accident.
