SYRACUSE – Wawasee’s freshman boys basketball team will not go down in hoops history among the land’s unbeaten. Elkhart Memorial handed Wawasee its first loss of the season Monday night, defeating the Warriors 45-37 at the Hardwood Teepee.

Trevon Coleman led the Warriors with 18 points and eight rebounds while Dalton Pearish pitching in seven points and Will Geer six points.

The Warriors had won its first six games of the season before Monday night’s defeat.

Wawasee will next play Thursday at Warsaw.
