Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

10:35 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, West SR 10 and North SR 19, Etna Green. Driver: Jon P Lackey, 46, East CR 500N, Rochester. Lackey was eastbound on SR 10, approaching SR19, and stated he was distracted changing his radio channel, missed the stop sign and went off the east side of the road. His vehicle hit an earth embankment, REMC guide wire and a NIPSCO gas substation. Damage up to $25,000.

7:09 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, SR 19 north of Welch Road, Etna Green. Driver: Caleb M. Schwartz, 17, SR 13, Middlebury. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.

6:26 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, SR 25 west of CR 1300W, Mentone. Driver: Eric W. Hollar, 48, Fir Road, Tippecanoe. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
