The National Weather Service Northern Indiana has issued a special weather statement  for Thanksgiving day for LaGrange, Noble, Marshall, Kosciusko and St. Joseph, Mich.

Accumulating snow is expected today through the evening.

A fast moving disturbance aloft will bring a reinforcing shot of cold air to the region today. Lake enhanced snow showers will develop quickly later this morning and continue through late afternoon before diminishing.

A general one- to two-inch accumulation is expected.

Expect deteriorating travel conditions by late morning as roads become snow covered and icy in spots, especially along the US 6 corridor.
