Congratulations to Lexi Gensch, Carly O’Hara, Jarett Orr and Chloe Romack of Edgewood Middle School and Mitchell Adams, Sara Bergsma and Renee Engler of Lakeview Middle School for being selected to participate in the Indiana Bandmasters Association All-Region Honor Band.

Participating in the band provides an excellent opportunity for students to have their talents recognized, perform with students from other schools, and work with a guest conductor.

The 100 piece band is comprised of students from schools located in Northeast Indiana.

The students will prepare their music, with the help of their band director, and meet together for a full day rehearsal on Saturday, Nov. 22. On Sunday, Nov. 23, the students will have a brief practice to review selected sections of their music before they perform the concert.

“We are blessed to have many talented musicians in our middle school band program. These students will represent Edgewood, Lakeview and our community with pride.” states Middle School Band Director Joseph Peloza.

The concert will start at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at DeKalb Middle School in Waterloo.

It will be open to the public and free of charge.
