Milford

Milford Police Department investigated the following accident and incidents:

Accident

3:43 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, South Higbee Street, near the intersection of West Emeline Street. Drivers: Mariline McKee, 38, Ashley Court, Goshen, Ann Cushing, 69, Gra Roy Road, Goshen and Lorena Garza, 40, West Fourth Street, Milford. Garza was stopped in her vehicle waiting to turn left, followed by Cushing and McKee. McKee’s vehicle failed to stop, hitting the rear of Cushing’s vehicle, and forcing Cushing’s vehicle into the rear of Garza’s vehicle. Damages estimated up to $5,000.

Incidents

  • 12:36 a. m. Saturday, Oct. 18, Cody Stephens, 18, West Emeline Street, reported being battered outside of Turf Bar, 118 Old State Road, Milford. Investigation is ongoing.
  • 5:26 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, Rosita Pedroza, 46, Lehman Drive, Milford, reported someone entered her house while she was away at work. Personal items were taken from the residence. Value is estimated at $50.
  • 5:11 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, Buddy Greer, 36, West Section Street, Milford, reported the theft of a MGP scooter from the bike rack at Milford Elementary School, located at 611 W. Emeline St. Value is estimated at $50.

Syracuse

Syracuse Police investigated the following accidents and made the following arrests:

6:37 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16 West Bowser Road near South Huntington Street, Jamie R. Schmucker, 46, North Kern Road, reported she was traveling east when a deer ran into the driver’s side of her vehicle, breaking the driver’s side window. Damages estimated up to $1,000.

7:11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16 North Huntington Street near the intersection of East Pearl Street, Jordan W. Robinson, 17, East McKenna Road, Warsaw, turned his vehicle in front of the vehicle driven by April I. Hostetler, 59, Regina Road, New Paris. Hostetler was taken to Goshen Hospital complaining of chest pain. Damages estimated up to $25,000.

7:43 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15 North Syracuse Webster Road, Chastity J. Brickey, 37, East Orange Street, Cromwell, was driving her school bus through the parking lot of Wawasee High School, 1 Warrior Path, Syracuse, when she hit a parked vehicle that was unoccupied. Damages estimated up to $5,000.

9:23 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15 South Huntington Street, Esther W. Raber, 69, West 500 North, Ligonier, was backing out of her parking space at McDonald’s and backed into a vehicle driven by Angela Long, 32, West School Street 3W, Chicago, while Long was waiting in the drive-through line. Damages estimated up to $1,000.

2:48 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14 North Pecan Street, Aliyaha R. Witaker, 19, North Turkey Creek Road, Syracuse, backed into an unoccupied, parked vehicle while backing out of a private driveway on West Boston Street.

Arrests

  • Maverick S. Bailey, 20, Milford, arrested for disorderly conduct and minor consumption. Bond: $500.
  • Jason R. Bell, 34, South Brallier Street, Pierceton, arrested for possession of synthetic drugs. Bond: $355
