ELKHART – The Elkhart Memorial freshman football did enough at home Thursday night to seal up a 20-18 win against visiting Wawasee.

The Warriors (2-6) had three different players score. Kevin Weikart and Will Geer both had two-yard touchdown runs while Cayden Wegener hooked up with Jake Hand for a 40-yard pitch and catch. Wawasee’s downfall came on its inability to score on any of its three point-after conversion opportunities.

The final game of the season for the Wawasee frosh will be Tuesday when Goshen comes to Syracuse.
