iconGrace College Center for Lakes and Streams is hosting an interpretive hike along Cherry Creek in Winona Lake 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18.

Hikers will learn how the stream functions as part of the forest ecosystem as they walk along the trail that follows the stream. Other natural features along the trail will be noted while hikers learn to identify trees based on the characteristics of their bark and explore how trees spread their seeds.

Birds will be identified and their nests will be studied while learning about their fall migration habits.

The hike will be a non-strenuous walk suitable for participants of all ages and fitness levels. Participants should meet at the Heritage Trail parking lot at the end of Boys City Drive.
