Board of Trustees Meeting

The Board of Trustees of the Nappanee Public Library will meet in regular session 7 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at 157 N. Main Street, Nappanee. The public is invited to attend.

Science Club

The Super Science Saturday Club continues its 2014-15 season at the Nappanee Public Library with glow-in-the-dark experiments in October.

Kids will learn about luminescence with the use of black lights and make glowing silly putty. The fun begins at 10 a.m. and continues through 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25.

This program for curious kids in first through fifth grade is led by library Volunteer, Jim Myers, and meets at the library monthly during the school year.

American Girls

Learn about Kaya, a Native American Girl, as you make leather bracelets at the next meeting of the American Girls Club at the library.

Girls in first and second grade will meet from 6 p.m to 7 p.m., and those in third, fourth and fifth grade will meet from 7 p.m to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28.

The American Girls Club meets once a month at the library during the school year to learn about girls in American history and share other activities such as themed parties, and community service projects.

Activities are planned for girls in grades one through five.
