Upward Hosting Pair Of Clinics

NORTH WEBSTER – Upward Sports will be hosting a pair of free clinics Saturday, Nov. 15, at the North Webster United Methodist Church family center.

A basketball clinic for players in kindergarten through third game will take place from 9-10:30 a.m. and for fourth through sixth grade players from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The clinic for the basketball players will involve skills in dribbling, shooting, passing and defense. Cheerleaders will be making posters and learning more about cheerleading.

Registration is currently underway for Upward basketball and cheerleading and will run through Nov. 6. Player evaluations will take place Monday, Nov. 3, Wednesday, Nov. 5, and Thursday, Nov. 6, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the North Webster United Methodist Church family center. Basketball is open to children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Registration can be done at the church before evaluations or can be done online at www.upward.org. Over 150 children from the area participated in Upward basketball in 2013.
