Kosciusko County

Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:

12 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10 North Old SR 15 south of West CR 600N, Warsaw. Driver: Tamela R. Shafer, 41, East Burkhart Drive, Warsaw. Deer hit. Damage up to $5,000.

6:29 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, East US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Ryan J. Shuherk, 19, Hunters Ridge, Auburn, and Karen E. Holland, 30, North Thayer Street, Bourbon. Shuherk was driving away from the gas pump and did not see Holland’s vehicle going through the parking lot. Damage up to $2,500.

Warsaw Police

Officers of the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

5:08 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, Lake City Highway, east of Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Mary R. Hyde, 39, South Main Street, Etna Green. Deer hit. Damage up to $5,000.

3:21 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, North Detroit and East Center Street. Drivers: Morgan M. Fuentes, 17, South Blue Spruce Court, Warsaw, and Maria D. Carrillo, 43, West Winona Ave., Warsaw. Fuentes vehicle sideswiped the Carrillo vehicle while changing lanes. Damage up $5,000.

2:49 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, North Detroit Street and East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Martha E. Grove, 78, North Washington Street, Bremen and Christine E. Turskey, 56, Sharon Street, Winona Lake. Grove turned her vehicle in front of the Turskey vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

2:39 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, Argonne Road, south of East Hendricks Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Tiara S. Cochran, 25, East Sheridan Street, Warsaw and Sheryl Hendrickson, 57, Maye Street, Warsaw. Cochran was backing from a parking space at Our Father’s House onto Argonne Road and failed to see the stopped Hendrickson vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.

7:47 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, West CR 350N, north of North SR 15. Drivers: Whitney N. Hobbs, 27, North Zimmer Road, Warsaw and Donald M. Farias, 26, East Main Street, Warsaw. Hobbs’ vehicle struck the back of the Farias vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
