Whitko Sports LogoThe Whitko boys tennis team used a singles sweep to top Prairie Heights 3-2 Tuesday in South Whitley.

Austin Nettrouer led the way for the winners with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.

Cole Bechtold posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles for the Wildcats. Bailey Platt was a 6-4, 6-4 winner at No. 2 singles.

The Wildcats lost both doubles matches in three sets. The No. 1 team of Alex Bechtold and Alex Robbins lost, as did the pair of Nic Rose and Jared Arnold at No. 2.

Whitko will face Wawasee on Wednesday in the Warsaw Sectional at 4:30 p.m.

Soccer Team Earns Tie

The Whitko boys soccer team picked up a 2-2 tie with Prairie Heights.

David Kirkham and Keegan Hicks each tallied a goal for the Wildcats.

Tyler Herendeen picked up an assist for Whitko. Keeper Jacob Helton had 15 saves.
