Though some were alarmed to see police presence this morning at Warsaw Community High School, according to Warsaw Community School Corporation Superintendent Dr. David Hoffert, the school was simply running a periodic safety drill this morning with the help of local and state law enforcement.

The corporation released the following statement via their website, “Today’s lockdown was a drill that is conducted periodically throughout the school year to ensure the safety and security of students and staff. These drills are conducted in collaboration with state and local law enforcement.”
