WARSAW – The Warsaw volleyball team continued its unbeaten string in Northern Lakes Conference play Tuesday night.

The host Tigers took another step towards a conference title by blanking Northridge 3-0 in league play.

The 1-2 punch of Caroline Mayer and Katie Voelz powered Warsaw past the Raiders 25-11, 25-17, 25-22.

Warsaw improves to 10-3 overall and goes to 3-0 in league play.

Mayer and Voelz each slammed down nine kills to lead a balanced offense for coach Mike Howard’s team. Jordyn Lindeman had six kills and Haley Peterson added five for the winners.

Cassie Hoag dished out 30 assists for Warsaw. Lindeman had five aces and Hoag added four. Peyton Adamiec led the defense with 17 digs, while Hoag had 10, Mayer eight and Blake McGarvey seven.

Courtney Steffensmeier led the blocking stats with three and Lindeman had two.

Northridge won the junior varsity match 25-18, 21-25, 15-8.

Kenzie Welk had six kills and Hanna Leach four for the JV Tigers, who are now 4-1 overall and 2-1 in the NLC. Abby Serbousek had 15 assists and six aces. Welk had 13 digs, while Dayton Groninger had 10, Raina Armey five and Jamie Grose four. Alexie Day had a block for Warsaw.

The Warsaw freshman team won 25-21, 22-25, 15-9 Tuesday to improve to 9-1 on the season.

Warsaw returns right back into action at East Noble Wednesday night.
