AKRON – Sparked by a sweep from its doubles teams, Triton topped Tippecanoe Valley 4-1 Tuesday in prep tennis action.

Pacing the Trojans past the hosts were its No. 1 doubles duo of Austin Sellers and Alex Eib and the No. 2 team of Ben Waggoner and Spencer Glingle.

The Trojans’ pair of Sellers and Eib topped Kane Steller and Nick Caudill 6-3, 6-4. Waggoner and Glingle defeated Cole Walters and Dakota Parker 6-2, 6-0.

Triton’s Mace Eads posted a 7-5, 6-1 win over Keith Wright at No. 3 singles.

Gavin Eads of the Trojans rallied for a 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 6-3 win over Wyatt Nelson at No. 2 singles.

Trevor Neeley collected the lone point for the Vikings by beating Jared Fisher  6-3, 4-6, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.

The Triton varsity squad improves to 5-3 on the season.

Valley won the junior varsity competition by a 4-2 final.
