Max Beigh will celebrate his 100th birthday Sept. 30. He graduated from Claypool High School and Manchester University, going on to teach and become a counselor at Anderson High School for many years.

Max and his wife, Kathryn, have a summer cottage on Yellow Creek Lake. Earlier this year they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
