ELKHART – The NorthWood girls golf team opened Northern Lakes Conference play Thursday by topping host Concord.

The Panthers shot 188 while the hosts had 194 in NLC action at the Bent Oak Golf Club.

Linnzie Richner paced the Panthers, now 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the NLC, with a 44.

Summer Stillson shot a 46 and Rachel Beebe a 47 for the winners. Madison Richner had a 51 and Bailie Richner a 58 for the Panthers.

Erika Shirley of Concord was medalist with a 43.

NorthWood will host Goshen and Elkhart Memorial in NLC action next Tuesday at McCormick Creek in Nappanee.
