Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Sunday, Aug. 10, 4:18 p.m. North Harrison and East Fort Wayne streets. Drivers: Janice L. Engelberth, 73, North Johnson Street, Warsaw; and Zackary L. Bradley, 25, East Center Street, Warsaw. Engelberth was westbound on East Fort Wayne Street and stopped at the intersection at Harrison Street, but failed to see Bradley operating his motorcycle headed south on Harrison and pulled into his path. Bradley was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital with leg injuries. Damages: up to $2,500

Sunday, Aug. 10, 12:04 p.m. 2495 Jalynn Street. Driver: Juan M. Carvajal, 83, East Emeline Street, Milford. Carvajal was pulling from underneath a canopy and hit a door on a parked vehicle. Damages: up to $1,000

Sunday, Aug. 10, 3:14 a.m. North Lake and North West streets. Unknown driver, vehicle registered to Bruce Kintzell, South Julian Drive, Warsaw. The vehicle was traveling southeast on North Lake Street when it began to round the curve between Osburn Drive and West Street, when it struck the curb and utility pole before spinning around and coming to rest approximately 40 feet from the pole. A nearby resident reported the accident and noted the driver got out of the car and left the scene in a second vehicle. Officers went to Kosciusko Community Hospital and were advised that Bruce Kintzell was brought to the emergency room with extensive lacerations and abrasions to his face, possible internal injuries and swelling/redness to his right knee. Kintzell told police that an unknown hispanic male was driving the vehicle and he fled the scene. Officers noted a strong odor or alcohol on Kintzell, who submitted to a blood test. Lab results are pending.
