At 4:23 p.m. July 25, 2014, the Plymouth Police Department received a report regarding an 11-year-old girl that had been sexually assaulted at a residence in the 100 block of Franklin Street in Plymouth.

A suspect was identified as Jonas Olvera, 67, who was visiting from Mission, Texas. According to police, after further investigation, Jonas Olvera was located, questioned and then arrested. Police discovered an arrest warrant had been issued for Jonas Olvera in Marshall County in 2009 regarding another child molesting report.

Olvera was booked into the Marshall County Jail regarding the arrest warrant along with a new charge of child molesting as a level four felony charge. Olvera’s bond was set at $15,000 surety and $3,000 cash for the prior warrant, and $100,000 cash for the new molestation charge.
