Emily Rose Smith, 1 year old, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away at 9:53 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, Ind.

She was born on June 15, 2013, in Mishawaka, Ind., to Alaina J. (Scott) Smith. 

She moved to Syracuse in November 2013 from South Bend, Ind., and formerly attended the Epic Church in Mishawaka. 

She is survived by her mother; sister: Caylee Balmer–Robinson; brother: Isaiah Smith;
maternal grandparents: Thomas and Tammy Scott, Mishawaka; maternal great-grandparents: Martin and Dina Rajski, Mishawaka; and Thomas and Sandra Scott, Mishawaka; maternal great-great-grandmother: Sylvia Oakley, Mishawaka. 

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Memorial services will follow at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, in the funeral home. 

Memorial bequest may be given to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home
