Topsy Turvy Week  Tapping- Emotional Freedom Technique Returns Angie Hernandez, certified Hypnotherapist, is presenting a session on using EFT, also called tapping, on Wednesday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. People are invited to a free class to experiment with this easy technique for self-healing. According to Nick Ortner, author of The Tapping Solution, EFT is a type of meridian tapping that combines ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology. Tapping utilizes the body’s energy meridian points by stimulating them with your fingertips. Up and Down Families should wear their getting wet clothing for Terrific Tuesday’s science exploration. A wild and fun time will be spent exploring the ups and downs of the hydrologic cycle as the Syracuse Library looks at the way water moves. Everyone is invited to experience some of the properties of water on July 22 at 2 p.m.  Children that attend Tea Time on Thursday at 2 p.m. will eat up and down foods besides reading up and down stories, and making a craft. The July 24th tea time is the last one this year. Friday is the last showing of the family film at 10 a.m. A foxy agent will have everyone jumping in suspense. Children may read to the Paws to Read dog, Echo, on the 21st and 28th from 2 to 4 p.m. and, there are two more weeks of practice reading with a volunteer on Wednesdays. Dye a Scarf with String Theory Join the fiber group to use a cold water bath to dye cotton fabric on Saturday, July 26. Fabric will be available to purchase for $3 to make a scarf, or bring your own cotton material. The group will have time to review on-going knitting and crocheting projects. Children accompanied by an adult are welcome to try tie-dye and gradient dying. Please wear old clothes that may become stained with contact from the dyes.
