Warsaw – The Symphony of the Lakes, a part-time professional orchestra located in Warsaw and Winona Lake will be holding auditions to fill current vacancies as well as substitute musician positions for the 2014-2015 season. Auditions will be held on August 16, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church located at 179 South Indiana Street in Warsaw.

Open positions for this season include Concertmaster (1 position), Interim Principal Violin 2 (1 position), Section Violin 1 and 2 (5 positions), Section Viola (2 positions), Section Cello (3 positions), Section Bass (2 positions), Principal Oboe (1 position), Principal Trumpet (1 position), Assistant Principal Horn (1 position), and Percussion (2 positions). There will be open substitute auditions for all sections except Harp and Keyboard.

Audition packets will be emailed or mailed upon request. Each packet will include scheduling instructions and audition excerpts. The deadline to schedule an audition is Tuesday, August 12 at 4 p.m. Musicians will be notified of their audition time on Wednesday, August 13.
