UPDATE: At 9:56 p.m., Keith Young, 47, SR 25, Warsaw, was attempting to cross Smith Street near Maple Avenue when he failed to see a westbound motorcycle, driven by William P. Beatty, 66, of Lynnwood Drive, Warsaw.

The truck and motorcycle collided. Neither driver reported any injuries, and damage was reported as minor, up to $5,000.

BREAKING: At approximately 10 p.m. Thursday night, a truck collided with a motorcycle on Smith Street, near the west gate at the Kosciusko Community Fairgrounds.

Reports indicate that there were no serious injuries as a result of the accident. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department was at the scene of the accident.

With the Kosciusko County Community Fair going on this week, there will be a substantial increase in traffic around the fairgrounds. Drivers would be wise to exercise a little extra caution while traversing this area.
