
One person was transported to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, for trauma services, while another injured person was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital following a two-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon, June 28.
Warsaw Police were called at 3:40 p.m. to Frontage Road and Access into the K-Mart Plaza when two vehicles collided.
Charlotte M. Lovett, 56, South SR 15, Claypool, suffered a contusion, bruise to the elbow lower arm. A passenger in her vehicle, Joscelyn M. Wood, 49, Pike Shore Drive, Warsaw, suffered a contusion, bruise to the head. Wood was transported to Lutheran Hospital.
Police report Lovett was eastbound on Frontage Road at the Intersection of the access road into K-Mart Plaza when her vehicle collided with a southbound vehicle driven by Laura A. Cassidy, 43, EMS R2 Lane, Pierceton. Lovett did not recall what happened or if she stopped at the stop sign. Cassidy, who was southbound stated Lovett did not stop before the collision.
When police arrived the Cassidy vehicle was found to have rolled over on its top 20-feet south of the intersection.
Damage was estimated up to $25,000.
