Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department

Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following incident:

• Thursday, June 26, 6:30 a.m. South 1000 West, Warsaw. Driver: Danny W. Ritter, 46, West 5th Street, Peru. A deer ran in front of Ritter’s vehicle causing a collision. Damages: up to $2,500
• Wednesday, June 25, 5:12 a.m. South 350 East and East Wilcox Road, Warsaw. Driver: Joseph L. Engelhaupt, 60, East 600 South, Warsaw. Engelhaupt was driving northbound on County Road 350 East when a deer ran into the path of his vehicle, causing a collision. Damages: up to $5,000

Mentone Police Department

Officers of the Mentone Police Department recently investigated the following incident:

• Wednesday, June 25, 6:50 a.m. West Main Street and North Franklin Street. Drivers: Billy J. Stanfill, 38, Queen Street, Goshen; and Dennis W. Jameson, 59, County Road, Syracuse. Stanfill believed the intersection was a four-way stop and proceeded forward, striking into the trailer of Jameson’s vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000

Warsaw Police Department

Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following incident:

• Wednesday, June 25, 3:33 p.m. West US 30. Driver: Linda R. Wozniewski, 66, Wicker Avenue, Cedar Lake. Wozniewski was westbound on US 30 when, due to rain, she lost control of her vehicle and went into a ditch. Damages: up to $2,500
• Wednesday, June 25, 11:44 a.m. North Detroit Street. Drivers: Rachael A. Woodcox, 22, West 900 South, South Whitley; and Ashton M. Stutzman, 26, East 1200 North, Syracuse. Woodcox was traveling in the left lane of northbound Detroit Street when she attempted to make a lane change and struck into Stutzman’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
• Wednesday, June 25, 10:34 a.m. South McKinley and East Jefferson streets. Driver: Shyanna M. Ballard, 20, West 700 South, Claypool. Ballard was eastbound on Jefferson Street when, trying to avoid a collision with a mini-van, she ran into the Krebs Trailhead Park curb. After hitting the curb, her vehicle ran up and over the railroad tracks in the park. Damages: up to $5,000
