Two petitions were approved at Thursday’s regular meeting of the Syracuse Board of Zoning Appeals.

Willie Stutzman petitioned for an exception to allow the construction of two residential additions, an 8-foot by 28-foot covered porch and a 6-foot by 15-foot enclosed porch, in a commercial district. The property is located at 202 N. Huntington St.

In addition, Stutzman’s petition for a variance at the same location was also approved. He wants to allow the construction of a residential addition, an 8-foot by 28-foot covered porch, 14 feet from the right of way of the road and 8 feet from the north property line, in a commercial district.

The next meeting of the BZA is at 6 p.m. July 17, at Syracuse Town Hall.
