Vanessa Shufelt, 84, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.

She was born on Jan. 4, 1930, to Elwin and Alice (Drew) Stone, in Piedmont, New Hampshire. She and Arnold Allan Shufelt were married March 14, 1952, in Orleans, Vt.

Vanessa lived most of her life in Kosciusko County and was a nurse’s aide at Millers Merry Manor for 7 years. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and reading magazines and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter: Lynn (Robin) Stiles, Tippecanoe, Ind.; four sons: Arnold A. and Barbara Shufelt, Connecticut; Michael W. (Candy) Shufelt, Plymouth, Ind.; Mark R. Shufelt, Rochester, Ind.; Matthew P. Shuflelt, Tippecanoe; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband: Arnold; son: Paul Shufelt; and four brothers: Arland Stone, Mason Stone, Warner Stone and Hugh Stone.

Visitation will be from Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 10am to noon at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, Indiana. Services will be at Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at noon at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Pastor Bob Jarboe, chaplain with Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice officiating.
