
At 5:37 p.m. on Friday, May 30, emergency personnel responded to an accident located on Detroit Street near Anchorage Road in Warsaw.
According to an accident report filed by Warsaw Police Department, Brian K. Duffield was traveling northbound on Detroit Street approaching the intersection when he proceeded through what he believed to be a yellow light and struck into Lawson. Lawson was southbound making an eastbound turn at the intersection. After impact Duffield’s vehicle reportedly rolled twice before coming to stop right-side-up on the east side of the road.
Duffield’s passenger, Daymian Page, 3 years old, sustained a minor laceration to the right side of his head and was transported to Kosciusko County Hospital where he was treated for his injury. All other drivers were treated and released on scene by Emergency Medical Services with no serious injuries.
Though officials initially reported extraction would be needed on at least one vehicle at the scene, recent reports have stated it will not be needed. Warsaw Police Department, Warsaw Fire Department and Multi-Township EMS responded to the scene.
