Brandi Jo Ritter and Adam Niles, both of Syracuse, announce their engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Ridgely (Butch) and Terri Ritter of Syracuse. She is a 2008 graduate of Wawasee High School and studied at Ivy Tech Community College. She is currently employed in customer service at Lake City Bank, North Webster branch.

The bridegroom-elect is the son of Roger and Cindy Niles of Syracuse. He is a 2000 graduate of Wawasee High School and received a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from Tri-State University (now Trine University) in 2004. He is employed at Biomet in Warsaw.

An Aug. 16 wedding is being planned.
