AKRON – The Rochester softball team proved worthy of its lofty ranking Monday night.

The Zebras, ranked No. 6 in Class 3-A, rolled past Tippecanoe Valley 14-1 in Three Rivers Conference play.

Rochester outhit the hosts 16-6 in the league rout.

Tenaya Shull was 2-2 with a run scored to lead the Vikings. Robyn Dunnuck had an RBI for Valley.

Valley, now 8-12, hosts Wabash Wednesday and plays at Culver Thursday.
