AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley Middle School girls golf team took fourth place in the Running Rivers Tournament Friday.

The trio of Alli Miller, Delaney Sandbakken and Makayla Sandbakken each shot a 64 to lead the way for Valley.

Manchester won the girls’ team title with a 239. Northfield was second with a 241, followed by Wabash (249), Tippecanoe Valley (269), Rochester (269) and Southwood (295).

Bethany Johnson shot a 77 and Jordan Krotke had an 80 for Valley.

The Valley boys team finished in sixth place in the tournament.

Manchester also won the boys’ team championship with a 191. Southwood was second with a 211, followed by Wabash (216), Northfield (228), Rochester (229) and Tippecanoe Valley (244).

Cade Brouyette shot a 47 to pace the Valley boys team.

Chandler Newsome shot a 52 and Billy Jaques-Robbins had a 68. Austin Crill finished with a 77 and Matt Hume a 94.
