
WARSAW – The Warsaw girls track team celebrated Senior Night in style Tuesday.
The host Tigers made it a night to remember by completing another undefeated conference season.
Warsaw dominated the final Northern Lakes Conference meet of the regular season in impressive fashion to top Goshen 97-35.
With weather conditions finally cooperating, the hosts had the most once again in winning 14 of the 16 events contested at the Tigers Athletic Complex.
Coach Scott Erba’s squad, which improved to 9-0 overall and closed out conference action at 7-0 with the win, honored eight seniors and their parents.
The Tigers, who have won at least a share of the NLC championship for the last eight years, saluted seniors Aletheia Burritt, Jackie Ferguson, Courtney Farling, Brooklyn Harrison, Ann Harvuot, Claire Hickerson, Madeline Hooks and Rachelle Whitaker.
The special evening also saw the first Unified Track competition in school history. Athletes from Warsaw, Bremen and East Noble competed in the event.
Warsaw showcased its deep and talented roster once again Tuesday night under the perfect conditions.

A total of 11 different competitors won individual events for the hosts. Warsaw also turned in a total of 13 second or third place performances in the victory.
The outstanding trio of Claire Hickerson, Samantha Alexander and Brooklyn Harrison led the way in the field events. Hickerson won the pole vault by clearing 9-6. Alexander claimed first in the long jump with a top leap of 16-6. Harrison won the shot put with a throw of 34-10.
The Tigers also dominated on the track as usual.
Mariah Harter captured first in the 100-meter dash in a time of 13.17 for the hosts. Audrey Rich won the 200 in 26.55, while Tennie Worrell won the 400 in 1:04.08. The 800 went to Hannah Dawson in a time of 2:25.39 with Allison Miller taking the 1,600 in 5:22.30 and Emma Hayward winning the 3,200 in 12:17.19.
The duo of Jackie Ferguson and Nicole Eckert each won one of the hurdles races for the Tigers. Ferguson clocked in at 17.06 to win the 100 and Eckert won the 300 in a time of 47.45.

The Tigers also showed off their strength in the relays with three more winning efforts. The foursome of Harter, Ann Harvuot, Rich and Alexander won the 4 X 100 in a top time of 1:04.08. The 4 X 400 team of Eckert, Rich, Worrell and Ferguson won in 4:17.67 and the foursome of Charlene Orr, Dawson, Brooke Rhodes and Madeline Hooks claimed top honors in the 4 X 800 in 10:02.44.
Posting second place finishes for the Tigers were Anna Craig (1,600), Haley Peterson (400), Courtney Farling (long jump), Ferguson (300 hurdles), Rhodes (800), Alexander (200) and Tiayana Blair (100).
The Tigers also had third place efforts from Caroline Mayer (high jump), Emily Bailey (shot put), Harter (200), Hickerson (100 hurdles), Charlene Orr (3,200) and Anna Decker (100).
Warsaw will host the NLC Championship Meet on May 13 starting at 5 p.m.
