FR Communities, the parent company of Bayview Estates in Syracuse, and Eagles Nest Estates and Whispering Pines in Ligonier, has announced the recent acquisition of two manufactured home communities commonly known as Fairview Estates, located in Coldwater, Mich., and Meadowview Village, located in Kalamazoo, Mich.

As a part of FR Communities expansion, both communities will be undergoing renovations and name changes. Fairview Estates is now known as Tallgrass and Meadowview Village is now Twinleaf. This acquisition is of major importance to both Coldwater and Kalamazoo communities. The benefits beginning with much needed property improvements and plans for affordable new housing options will fill a very important need in southern Michigan.

FR Communities owns and operates seven manufactured home communities with over 1,300 sites throughout the Midwest region of the United States. The company has made significant amounts of upgrades to all communities they have acquired and plan to renovate Tallgrass and Twinleaf to adhere to the high standards for which FR Communities is known to enforce. Adam McNeil, Vice President, has stated, “We expect that with hard work and community support, we will be able to make all of our neighborhoods productive assets for their local communities.”

Tallgrass, formerly known as Fairview Estates, is a 239 site manufactured home community located at 260 E. Garfield Ave, Coldwater. FR Communities intends to upgrade with professional landscaping, renovate the existing community center and add new quality homes. They also plan to work with the current residents to make improvements to their homes with the goal of making it a more uniform and appealing community for existing and future residents.

Twinleaf, formerly known as Meadowview Village, is a 184 site manufactured home community located at 3614 Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo. FR Communities intends to remove a number of vacant homes, clean up and remove debris. The goal is to make Twinleaf a well-kept and maintained community that provides an affordable living option.
