BOURBON – The Triton softball team had its offense in high gear Thursday.
The host Trojans romped past LaVille 21-3 in a Northern State Conference contest.
Triton plated 12 runs in the third inning en route to the five inning win.
Halie Zimmerman had two doubles and four RBI as Triton collected 14 hits in the victory.
Heather Stichter had two hits and drove in three runs. Lillie Berger and Kayla Kreft each had two RBI for the winners. Allyson Brown had two hits for the Trojans.
Mallorie Jennings went the first three innings to notch the pitching win for Triton. She fanned seven and walked one. Jennings also had two hits.
Brycelyn Garbison pitched the final two innings for the Trojans.
