A Warsaw man has been charged with Class A felony child molesting after what appears to a years-long pattern of sexual abuse on young women.

John Hale, 57, of Warsaw, allegedly admitted to police that he sexually assaulted a 9-year-old girl by penetrating her with his penis and having her perform oral sex on him and he performed oral sex on her. In a probable cause affidavit, the girl, now 10, gave Indiana Department of Child Services caseworker Debra Pennington very graphic accounts of what happened on approximately 20 different occasions with Hale.

The girl’s mother in the case also spoke with police and caseworkers and said Hale had sexual intercourse with her when she was in her early 20s, approximately 20 years ago. The now 10-year-old victim’s sister also said she was 20 years old when Hale would have sexual intercourse with her almost nightly for about a two month period in 2012.

Hale’s wife was also interviewed by Warsaw City Police Officer Brad Kellar and said she knew of the sexual relationships her husband had with the victims.

Hale is being held on a $50,000 surety bond in the Kosciusko County Jail.
