LCA Track Athletes Fare Well

lca smallThe Lakeland Christian Academy track teams turned in some strong performances Monday versus Whitko and Manchester.

Jacob Schmitt led the way in 7th grade boys action by winning the 1,600 in a top time of 6:38 for the Cougars.

Jacob Harmon placed fourth in the 200 (35.68), high jump (4-0) and long jump (9-5) events.

Heather Plastow won the 800 in a time of 3:04 and the 1,600 in a time of 6:56 for LCA in 8th grade girls competition.

Jessica Slone topped the field in the 400 to win in a time of 1:14. She was also third in the 100 in a time of 14.13.

Becky Bibler placed third in the shot put with a personal best throw of 19-4. Bailey Wiley was fourth in the 100 in 14.73.

Elijah Raymond won the high jump by clearing 4-8 for LCA in 8th grade boys action. He was also second in the long jump with a leap of 14-6.

Jeff Jones was second in the high jump with a height of 4-4. Jones was also third in the 200 (30.54) and fourth in the long jump (11-9) and the 100 (14.43).

Jacob Marshall placed second in both the shot put (34-8) and the discus (88-3.5). Rye Stevens was third in the 800 (2:55) and fourth in both the shot put (26-9) and the 1,600 (6:45). Reese Cripe was fourth in the 800 in 3:10.
