Local self-published author Terry Shepherd has released her first novel, Dahlia, available on Amazon.

Take a child that suddenly becomes blind, when her only dream was to become a dance instructor, add to this tragedy a tangled family and mix this with love and romance — along with the fact that she never puts her dream aside — and you will discover a woman who is determined to let nothing stand in her way. “Dahlia is about a girl who wants to be a ballerina dancer and instructor,” explains Shepherd. “Along the journey she becomes blind. This book is uplifting and teaches never to give up on your dreams. I wrote it so others who struggle with illness or accidents can keep their hope.”
