The city of Warsaw has announced April 28 as the final week of spring leaf pick-up. Large piles of leaves can be raked to the curb or alley and will be picked up on regular trash days.

Small piles of leave will need to be bagged or boxed and will be picked up on regular trash days. Large piles of leaves must be ready at the curbside by 7 a.m. Do not put sticks or other trash in the leaf piles or block the piles with vehicles.

As a reminder, leaves cannot be raked into the streets and gutter lines. This clogs the stormwater catch basins and creates drainage issues than can lead to flooding.

Also, the following Saturdays have been scheduled for compost give-aways: April 26 and May 3, 10, 17 and 24.

The public is invited to bring trailers, dump trucks, pick-up trucks and/or small containers between 8 a.m. and noon to West Center Street just inside Boggs Industrial Park. If there is inclement weather, the dates may be extended.
