During the week of March 17, 2014, Jefferson Elementary students participated in Jump Rope for Heart. Jump Rope for Heart is a program sponsored by the American Heart Association. Students from Jefferson Elementary jumped rope during physical education classes to raise money for the American Heart Association.
The money raised by the school helps fund potentially lifesaving research into heart and blood vessel diseases. Jump Rope for Heart is a fun and effective way to teach heart-healthy living by emphasizing the importance of physical activity as children do something they enjoy, jumping rope!
Jefferson Elementary students raised a total of $1,077 during this week. Pictured are Jefferson students jumping rope.
