SOUTH BEND – The Grace College men’s golf team lowered its team score by 14 strokes at the Bethel Invitational at Blackthorn Golf Club on Saturday.

After struggling to a 326 as a team on Friday, the Lancers fired the sixth-best score on Saturday by posting a 312.

Caleb Rovenstine had Grace’s lowest score during each round, carding a 77-75. The senior, who played at Tippecanoe Valley High School, tied for 14th place overall with his two-round total of 152.

Senior Trey Stoll, another Tippecanoe Valley graduate, rebounded from a first-round 81 to post 76 on Saturday.  Junior Taylor Fanning, who hails from Bremen, was one stroke behind Stoll for the tournament at 158 (82-76).
