Pierceton Lions Club is hosting its second annual “Souper Bowl” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at the Pierceton Community Building.

The community is invited to taste many varieties of homemade soups and vote for their favorite. The event will also include a bake sale and extensive display of Lion Club activities. Freewill donations will be accepted.

Also happening now through April 21, is the Lions annual spring flower sale. Beautiful flowers are available at reasonable cost just in time for Mother’s Day. Ask an Lions member or call 574-594-2499. Pick-up date is May 7-10, at 530 S. First St., Pierceton.

During April and May, the Lions seventh annual community calendar will be available for sale with listings of birthdays and anniversaries of family and friends, as well as local business ads and school schedules. The Lions cookbook is still available for sale, as well. This is a collection of time-honored recipes from members and friends.
