Ryan Michael Kennedy, 28, of Rancho Santa Margari, Calif., was arrested just before midnight Wednesday for battery to law enforcement officers.
According to a Warsaw Police Department incident report, officers were called to 2519 E. Center St., Warsaw, which is the Wyndham Hotel, at 11:42 p.m. last night.
Warsaw Police Officer Trent Shively and Winona Lake Police Officer Joe Bumbaugh are noted in the report as the two officers battered by Kennedy. However, a representative of the WPD, speaking on behalf of deputy chief Brian Sherwin, said the incident “was a simple disorderly conduct and public intoxication” case.
The report also names a 21-year-old woman as a victim, but no details are being provided.
Kennedy was booked on two counts of battery on law enforcement officers, and one count each of resisting law enforcement, public intoxication and disorderly conduct. The incident report says officers are also seeking a warrant for B misdemeanor battery against Kennedy.
He was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $500 cash bond.
